He’s good at it too , instrumentals that is.
    Most probably you are the last avenue for them to be spotted, give them the break they so deserve.Not only them but the others too.

    1. Mat Rock is a well known and talented drummer. He studied music in UITM and graduated in a drum major. He won the Yamaha Band explosion competition in 1989. The famous singer, M.Nasir who was the judge of the competition had selected him as the best drummer for the competition. His talent is no doubt. M.Nasir started to take him as his drummer and continued to become a famous sessionist. He had a vast experience as a sessionist on drum in peninsula of Malaysia. He can play all kind of music especially jazz and funk. Since 1989, he is actively a back up drummer at almost 90% of solo artistes in Malaysia, such as M. Nasir, Hattan, Samad Lefthanded, Siti Nurhaliza, Rahim Maarof, Aris Ariwatan, Khadijah Ibrahim, Ella, Sharifah Ainni, M. Daud Kilau, Senario, Mas Idayu, Amelina, Nora, Francesca Peter, Aishah, Anita Sarawak, Elaine Kang and many more. He also did recording album with Hattan, Senario, Sharifah Aini, Kris, Rahim Maarof, Aris Ariwatan and uks. One of his memorable events was backing the famous diva, Anita Sarawak during Mega Concert Bukit Jalil in 2002. He is also a good music arranger. At home, he spends most of the time in writing music, practising and he believes that a good musician should have a good ears, know his instrument well, have good command of the musical language and attitude towards life and music.
