Eloise Lau and Roger Wang play “Vincent”

At the Halo Cafe, City Mall, Kota Kinabalu, August 23, 2009.

Eloise Lau and Roger Wang play Don McLean’s “Vincent”.

Eloise is launching her new CD.  Send a message here if you want to know more, and we will put you in touch.

Roger played a gorgeous guitar – the Yamaha Silent Guitar.  Ofcourse it wasn’t silent here!  (But you can play it with ear plugs etc)  He took it apart as well to show us, became a slim pole to pack away… very very cool gear, Roger!

    • Hello Brandon. I’ll get Eloise to write a response to you. Eloise records her music at RAM Studios, which is in Damai. Victor Ting works there, he went to Lok Yuk too, I think. I’ll get them both to give you advice. 🙂

  2. Hi Brandon Thomas,

It’s nice to hear that you’re from Lok Yuk too and I’m glad to hear that you decided to record your songs.

Our rate is RM 100 per hour. It doesn’t matter what kind of instrument you’re recording, or whether you’re with a band or you’re playing alone, all kinds of recording under the same rate which is RM 100 per hour.

My advise is that, before you start recording your songs, make sure you have enough practice on those songs that you want to record. This is so that later on during the recording, you won’t have to scratch your head, dragging the recording hours.
And also make sure you have a list of songs you want to record written down too.
We provide two types of recording, ‘Live’ and ‘Track by Track’ recording. ‘Live’ recording is the one that most artists/bands would choose for doing DEMO recording which saves time but has lower quality since everyone is playing at the same time. ‘Track by Track’ recording take up more time than ‘Live’ recording since it’s done in such a way that all instruments are played seperately. The final result of ‘Track by Track’ recording has a higher quality due to the low noise recording environment.
It’s up to you to choose how you want to record it. Haha…

If you want to know more about the studio or if you want to have a visit we’re open from Tuesday till Sunday and I’m mostly available in the studio from 12 pm till 6 pm.
We’re right on top of Olde Station in Damai Point.
Give us a call before you come k. This is our number : 088-218395

    Good luck! =)
